Work & Earn From Home During The Pandemic

The number of people working from home just increased due to the current global situation – the coronavirus pandemic. People are expected not to leave their homes, maintain a safe distance and take up safety precautions to prevent getting infected. Many people lost their livelihoods and while some have the options to work from home. Even before the current pandemic people did work and earn from their homes and managed to make a good income. There are various kinds of services one can provide such as online education, translation, software development, design & creative services, writing, sales and marketing, virtual assistance, bookkeeping and the list goes on. The need to learn a new skill that could help you earn from home is more than ever during these stressful times where many businesses are dying because they need the workers to be present at the work location. It’s true that there are people who cannot afford to learn a new skill or earn from home but those who have access to the resources should at least consider to try it.
The town where I live which is, fortunately, a green zone, which has no infected person at present, has many small businesses that got affected. The open hours have shortened to 7 hours with 2 days lockdown every week. Many businesses aren’t making enough income as they used to before the pandemic. People are turning to find different jobs. During these times, one can invest in themselves. Learn a skill such as copywriting, content creation, digital marketing, graphic design and trading and so on.

How-to & FAQ for holding Bitcoin and Ethereum in an RRSP/TFSA

A few months ago I came across a way to hold crypto in my RRSP/TFSA and have been answering questions about how to do that in comments, DM's, and Skype consults. I figured it would be helpful to put together one big comprehensive FAQ. Cryptocurrency is treated as a commodity by the CRA and you must pay capital gains taxes on any profits if held outside a TFSA. If bitcoin goes to $1m as some are predicting, the Canadian government is going to be taxing a huge windfall in capital gains taxes.
BACKGROUND
Bitcoin & other crypto cannot be held directly in a RRSP/TFSA, and there are no eligible ETF's in North America yet. However, the ETN COINXBT which trades on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in Sweden (Nasdaq Stockholm) is eligible.
ABOUT COINXBT
COINXBT holds bitcoin directly and its price per share is based on a 0.005 multiple of the current bitcoin price.
For example, if the current price of bitcoin is $10000USD, a share of COINXBT will be worth $50USD (ie: $493 Swedish Kroner)
Company's website and full prospectus at: https://xbtprovider.com/
Price quote / chart: https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/COINXBT:SS
HOW-TO TRADE
Only some Canadian brokerages allow you to trade on eligible international exchanges in your TFSA. Some do not.
Typically placing trades on international exchanges online is not an option and must be made over the phone broker-assisted at a much higher cost than typical North American securities.
CANADIAN BROKERS
I've called pretty much every brokerage to inquire if international securities can be held in a TFSA and what the fee is to transact. You may want to call yourself to see if policies have changed, but here's a summary:
Not available, or not available in RRSP/TFSA:
FAQ's
Are you sure it's legal? I'm quite sure it's illegal.
Who is your broker? CAD account?
How do I make a trade once I'm ready?
How do I calculate the number of shares to trade to max out my TFSA?
Market or Limit order?
When can I trade? Is it only possible to make the trade while the Swedish market is open and the TSX are open at the same time? Or can you place the order at any time of day?
Which number did you use to contact the brokerages?
What happens when there is a fork?
What about other cryptocurrencies?
How is the price of COINXBT determined?
Why not just buy GBTC?
Why can't I place a trade online myself?
Feedback
If you've managed to get crypto into your RRSP/TFSA in any other ways than listed above please do leave a comment and I'll update the post. Thanks!

Trade It, Adopt It

Trade It, Adopt It
A generation ago, Deng Xiaoping postulated to his great country – “To get rich is glorious”. No better quote can be used as a definitive description of what the modern world is all about – the modern world that revolves around technologies. Taking inspiration from Deng Xiaoping’s words, and deriving from their essence, it is possible to morph his postulate into the technological realm and derive something of the like: “To develop is glorious”. However, if taken one step further and adapted even further to what modern users have come to expect from technologies, the semantics gives us a more accurate phrase – “To develop something that generates profit is glorious”.
There has never been a time in human history when trade did not occupy the determining role in human interactions and political ventures. The facilitation of trading environments for native traders was the key goal of politics, military campaigns and diplomatic negotiations. Nothing has changed since then, the tools have merely evolved to facilitate trade.
Digitizing Trade
The digital asset industry is the latest iteration of trading that has stepped over the restrictive entry thresholds that bar Wall Street trading houses from the 99% of humanity. Merely 1% of the world’s population has access and the means to trading traditional assets, such as commodities, futures, stocks, bonds, currencies and other tradable assets. But that state of affairs has rather sickened the remaining 99% who have access to online instruments and do not have the exuberant monetary reserves needed to access traditional trading houses and platforms.
This is where cryptocurrencies came in around 2013 as an affordable, highly volatile accessible, transparently traded and most importantly profitable asset that has been placed in direct opposition to traditional tradable assets. Since 2013, over 40 million people around the world have confessed to having opened at least one cryptocurrency wallet. People are starting to understand that the cryptocurrency industry is developing fast, and it is the market that can be construed as the next generation of profit-generating platforms.
It’s All About The Benefits
A profitable market is not one that is stable, but one that is highly volatile, as it is the price changes that generate income for holders of assets slated for trading. However, to be able to generate any kind of profit, it is not enough to just hold a certain amount of tradable assets in a wallet, but to have access to a convenient, user-friendly, transparent, high speed and versatile platform that would facilitate trade of said tradable assets and open gateways between sellers and buyers.
Forex, TradingView and other platforms have existed as the mainstays of trading on conventional markets for years, but now the time has come for a new generation of digital asset trading platforms capable of catering to the needs of cryptocurrency traders.
MoonBot is the blockchain platform for cryptocurrency trading that has reached and even exceeded the expectations of traders with its product offering. MoonTrader is a unique combination of advanced tools, such as trading bots and traditional analytical instruments that allows for extremely fast order execution and offers a variety of charts that allow users to have a better understanding of the market. It is the comprehensive approach to trade automation and the market dynamics analysis that makes the MoonTrader terminal the most comprehensive, wholesome, and advanced cryptocurrency trading platform on the market.
Never Stopping
The heart of MoonTrader is its intuitive and advanced trading dashboard that grants users access to the instruments necessary for programming trading bots to suit any trading strategy and market behavior. By relying on the array of analysis instruments available and having a full view of market volatility and dynamics, users of MoonTrader can tailor their trading strategies with a variety of listed cryptocurrencies and have insight into market movements on the basis of chart indicators.
The MoonTrader development team is fully vested in the process of perfecting their product, as the project ICO has been successfully concluded and more than enough funds were raised to dedicate all of the team’s attention to the development of a new product. The logical next step for the advancement of MoonTrader is the launch of a strong marketing campaign that would prepare the project’s audience for the release of the product that is scheduled for Q1 of 2020.
Fancy words would be fine in an abstract world, but MoonTrader is all about deeds. The product the team is offering is real and operational, generating profits for thousands of traders relying on the platform. The Alpha version of the product is up and running. Full integration and interaction with a host of exchanges has been conducted and new tools are being developed and implemented by the team on a daily basis. All of the necessary functionality that would cover the needs of future customers has already been included in the dashboard of MoonTrader with more advanced tools based on cutting-edge technologies already in the works.
Among the newest introductions to the MoonTrader trading terminal are instruments that allow charting the price graph of a selected asset, other tools that allow charting the order book on the same screen with the trading viewport and others. Simultaneous displaying of the price history with the trading viewport grants users the possibility of comparing prices in real time and determining profitable entry and exit points for various cryptocurrencies listed on the platform.
The development team is also developing the code that would allow users to place buy and sell orders directly on the exchange, bypassing the need to wait extra milliseconds for transactions to pass, thus saving valuable time that often means the difference between gain and loss in trading.
It Is Time
When it comes to convenience and transaction speeds, cryptocurrencies beat any other asset by a mile. But when it comes to trading them, MoonTrader beats any other platform by a long shot with its transaction processing speeds, automation and arrays of analytical instruments. Don’t lag on profits, just join MoonTrader.

PAUL JOHNSON TELEGRAM Q&A 6 AUGUST 2018

PAUL JOHNSON TELEGRAM Q&A 6 AUGUST 2018
https://preview.redd.it/uis77n5jtlg11.jpg?width=696&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55da8eb9e1eb652aecf92162343dc8c5e9b484d2
Good day everyone,
Here is the full Q&A that Paul Johnson did on Telegram on August 6. Apologies for the delay.
First off, on behalf of management, we appreciate everyones patience while we roll out the exchange. While crypto is very complex and has lent to some delays, and things not moving as fast as we or the community wants, we want to let everyone know we are doing everything we can to "spped" things up.
Q : Can I trasfer BTC directly, from Bitforex (yes, that scam, I just dumped a wreck train I held) to Tradeio? Because I have Mew, but Mew cant store Btc
A : We are actually adding to our dev team and adding experienced blockchain people that have worked on exchanges before, which are very far and few between. Additionally, we've added to the marketing team, and are revisiting the way we approach the social outlets like Twitter, to ensure its much more accomodating and interactive.
Q : when LP, when exchange full launch ?
A: As we said LP wouldn't happen less than a month after exchange launch. This was said to manage expectations. Realistically though, based on the volume currently on the exchange which is very little, it only makes sense to open the LP up once there is some substantial revenue coming through so LP participants aren't sharing pennies. We expect once the exchange is up and running fully, revenue to come. You combine that with the OTC revenue (deals are already being lined up), consulting revenue, etc. the overall LP revenue should then be decent. There are other "goodies" that are being finalized now to increase utility of TIO i..e adding to revenue for LP, that will also help out sooner rather than later.
Q: How much volume are we expecting so LP smoothly runs?
A: It's impossible to say, but assuming their figures are "real" you could probably benchmark us against similar exchanges on CMC and look at their volumes. One thing though that's important to mention is that we've already started work on margin trading and if you look at Bitmex, which flies under the radar, the margin component really enhances volumes for obvious reasons.
Q: What's the progress with the Fortune 500 company mentioned?
A: Yes, management is aware that JPM mentioned something like this during the Cyprus expo. For obvious reasons we really can't go into that too much, and in hindsight i think JPM would have kept that "closer to the vest." With that said, however, management are in talks with quite a few different companies, as our exposure is growing and companies appreciate the way we're approaching the exchange from a regulatory standpoint...i.e. not running from it, but rather running to it.
Q: What is real showstopper for slow rate or user additions to exchange. When can we expect to add all the 20k backlog users?
A: Yes, fully aware of that, and that's a major point that management has stressed to the devs, that this backlog needs to be cleared, as TIOnauts have waited long enough. The core components of the exchange have been working very well, with the exception of a few bugs, and we're happy with latency, the matching engine, and deposits/withdrawals.
Q:Any profit (however small), will be saved for the LP? 50% of it that is
A: Yes, consulting profits, profits from any JV's, etc. will be "saved" and accrued for release once LP starts.
Q:Hey Paul, do you have any information about when restricted countyes will have access? For ex any info about croatia?
A: TIOnauts to be clear the following countries (areas) are part of the OFAC list which will not be able to trade with trade.io. Please take note of the Balkan Islands:
Balkans (Serbia, Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo)
Belarus
Burundi
Central African Republic
Crimea
Cuba
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Iran
Iraq
Lebanon
Libya
North Korea
Somalia
Sudan
Syria
Yemen
Zimbabwe
Q: When will we see improvements in your KYC process? I expected to see online forms, digital signature processes, video verification etc. .
A: As mentioned the other day, this week dev's will be removing the need to verify if you're withdrawing less than 2 BTC equivalent in a 24 hour period. Going forward, there will be no need to print and sign anything, it will all be done electronically. In terms of video verification, honestly speaking, I'm not sure how scalable that is given the sheer number of people that trade crypto. Could you point to any other exchanges with large volumes that conduct video verifications?
Q: I know that the exchange was properly stess tested. In that context do we know what is the max volume TIO exchange can handle at the moment?
A: Last figures I heard were given the infra as is now, high 6 figure orders per second, which is very robust and will tie us over for quite some time, if this is the benchmark right now.
Q: the team is saying everything i want to hear right now as far as im concerned this is an awsome project crypto industry is moving fast and we are all a part of it
A: Thank you, but saying is different than doing....its very important that we execute in a timely manner, otherwise its just "lip service." Management is modifying the way somethings are being done internally to insure that TIOnauts are getting a more timely delivery of all the great things that have been told to them.
Q: Withdrawal of less than 2 btc will be avaliable a limited amount of time or permanent?
A: Permanent.
Q: croatia is sepa country in EU, what is stopping you from supporting kyc from there?
A: We don't create the OFAC list, until Croatia is removed, our hands are tied.
Q: Bitpanda. If something's hard to do, that doesn't mean it's not worth doing - I'm sure you clever people can make it scalable. KYC is usually first point of contact with an exchange - The more fluid and easy the process is the better
A: Noted, and agreed, its not about being "hard" its about being scalable. Will 100% look into adding something like this, but need to check with regulators first to see if this is allowable.
Q: When mobile layout up as predefined template so everyone can use the exchange while waiting an app version ?
A: we're working on a completely sep layout for mobile as you mentioned. Explain what you mean regarding a predefined template for mobile? You mean a layout that's more friendly for mobile based on the exchange as is now?
Q: Gm Paul, tks for AMA. Questions:
1) Are revenues from Angel Investor program also going to LP? I guess it does but haven’t seen stated yet.
2) when we should expect matching engine to be more consistent and pick up on volume because right now it works sometimes and at really low volumes.
A: 1) Yes, Angel Investor is tied into the Consulting program.
2) What do you mean by "matching engine to be more consistent"?
Q: maybe much better if we have mobile apps to download
A: Correct, and that development has started.
Q: 1)Tks.
2) i see that bots are working right now, looking at trading history each trade is really low volume, only 0.00xx units and not everytime,
A: Yes, good observation, we have bots generating tiny trades for the sake of creating charts...otherwise, based on volume by "real" clients, the charts would look pretty bad. We're keeping the volume small, so when we turn over to CMC, we're now skewing volume with bots...much like BitForex got caught doing.
Bots are not 100% flawless unfortunately like actual trading, so unfortunately need to grin and bear this for the near term, until we can turn the bots off, and rely on real people trading which is that way it should work.
Q: What s the planned improvements on marketing and social presence you mentionned earlier ?
A: Once exchange is open to everyone, only then will API be available, as agreed, that's when the bigger traders will come knocking.
Q: Ok thx for explanation, i thought that was matching engine at work as sometimes it does hit on real orders, but mostly are in fact done at px between real orders.
A: No, many of those tiny orders are the bots, again, without them the charts would look like big blobs.
Q: While I sent in KYC I had the moon theme and the file names were almost unreadable.
In the other themes it was fine but the colour of the filenames needs to be adjusted for the moon theme
A: Yes, this was brought up in previous chats, we'll see to it this is fixed. We shouldn't expect you to upload docs if you can't see what needs to be uploaded
Q: It was after session timeout and relogin
A: They've been trying multiple things, glad to hear it may be fixed.
Q: 25k already seem pretty low !
A: Yes, in this space it is, but we want to get traction more importantly and start generating rev for the lp. Will def be increased, as we expect very heavy flow based on initial indications.
Q: 25 is the minimum though? So many will be higher
A: Yes, we're already working out high 6 figure deals already through our dealers relationships.

A: No, many of those tiny orders are the bots, again, without them the charts would look like big blobs.

Q: While I sent in KYC I had the moon theme and the file names were almost unreadable.
In the other themes it was fine but the colour of the filenames needs to be adjusted for the moon theme.
A: Yes, this was brought up in previous chats, we'll see to it this is fixed. We shouldn't expect you to upload docs if you can't see what needs to be uploaded.

Q: It was after session timeout and re-login..
A: They've been trying multiple things, glad to hear it may be fixed.

Q: 25k already seem pretty low!
A: Yes, in this space it is, but we want to get traction more importantly and start generating rev for the lp. Will def be increased, as we expect very heavy flow based on initial indications.

Q: 25 is the minimum though? So many will be higher...
A: Yes, we're already working out high 6 figure deals already through our dealers relationships.

90 Day Update / Beginner's Post

Hey all, First time poster, long time lurker. Just learning until I think of useful/interesting post. I just finished Babypips school. No this isn’t another, “What do I do next?!” eager to consume posts. More just introducing myself and share methods as I progress and chat more in this sub. It’s been a super helpful research tool with just the sidebar alone, but the interactions are also generally positive and research engaged. Forex was on my list of active/sidehobby/internet ideas to try. (Along with selling on Ebay and learning/teaching languages) I’ve always been into stocks/finance and I’m open still open to continuing learning past forex into futures and/or cryptocurrency. Forex to me is kind of an intro to price action and charts for me. Also the physics of it all that I’m hoping to apply more as time goes on. Anyways , started forex 2 years ago. Saw I needed disposable income you could lose (which I didnt have at the time) and put it off. Now I’m about 3 months in with my rediscovery of it with a lot more financial cushion/discipline.I finished the babypips school and try to practice 25-45 mins a day of something forex related the last 90 days or so. Here is my routine and some things I”ve learned since starting.
Demo Trading is overrated. And then it becomes the best thing ever. I’m gunna just go out and say it. IF you’re trading for 9 months on demo you should’ve stopped 8 months ago. I mean don’t get me wrong 9 months, that shows alot of persistence in your habits, but you’re spending time on a variable that doesn’t exchange certainty in the real system. I only even say this because you could be like me. Trade demo all this time then find out the leverage you wanted isn’t even available in your country. (U.S here) So I felt like a dummy from the jump, but that’s part of the learning curve you should be doing sooner rather than later. This does not mean fund your account fully. No, put just $200. I trade with my initial capitol @ $200 and I won’t add a penny more until I’ve developed a profitable system with what’s already in there. A good investment is a good investment and throwing more money doesn’t actually add value to the growth return on your investment.(In most cases) So what’s the big deal with Demo? Well for one you want to work with a system that’s tangible in your country. U.S is capped at 1:50 leverage. I don’t know other countries regulations but it’s something I wish someone told me to look out for before I started testing financial strategies. Another thing is the spreads are often very different from what you find in demo (attention scalpers out there) sometimes dramatically. (After NY close of the day /Weekends ) You have to implement all of these factors to your strategy. Now what is demo good for? Starting out! Learning how to set indicators, trades, stop losses and so on. I’d say 60 days max if you can’t donate much time. Even less than 60 days if you have more free time but then after that it’s time to get your feet wet. One other good thing about demo accounts is that it allows you to practice fundamentally different trading ideas out before trying them out on your actual account. An example would be a scalper trying a new position strategy he learned in demo to set some long term positions next year. I enjoy trading because it’s a discipline on your anxiety. When you deposit your first amount, any amount that's more than a new video game or dvd collection, your brain is going to fire off “Hey you bought something new that can make money let’s test it out! It could be making you money” You have to calm this voice first. IF you even can. This voice makes you check the charts 3x more than you did in demo and caused at least me to trade just so the money’s not going to waste. I lost 40% of my account the first week. I would’ve called myself mentally stable before this too. But that voice broke me and you have to confront it because it’s the impatience in all of us and causes you to force your view of the markets to fit your system. Demo is a great tool but shouldnt be held on longer than it’s purpose.
Immersion This is going to be a little shorter than my last topic because this is more something everyone has to find and listen to. Don’t just study the same website or forum for forex everyday. Try to get a wide view of the financial markets as a whole and various media input. Subscribe to a couple good youtube channels maybe a visual representation of what you’ve been learning could help solidify it. Maybe a podcasts personality makes your brain react differently to topics where a bland textbook reading didnt excite you the same. Watch a documentary on trading one week and hell maybe even Wolf of Wall Street another week, whatever it is that gets your whole body involved in the feeling of trading so 1) you don’t get burned out on the topic and 2) you find more ways to connect with the information you find. Whether emotional or visually. Here are two recommendations of channels that help me break the norm of my study routine:
“Two Blokes Trading” Podcast I discovered these guys a while back in a comment thread. I would recommend this podcast to beginners because you can start from the very beginning of their series and learn with them. They’re young, enthusiastic and open to exploring alot of areas to trading and different philosophies. So sometimes you can find gems in subjects you didn’t expect to encounter. They also bring in advisors and brokerage managers to feature on their subjects. And it’s not all forex focused. Check them out: http://twoblokestrading.com/podcast-episodes/
Barry Burns “Top Dog Trading” Barry Burns I like because you have him walking you through the charts on youtube. One of the few videos I watched on Price action were by him where the lightbulb went off. He offers a great free resource and sometimes I even feel guilty getting it on youtube for free before sharing it because it feels like the things he touches on and how he explains them, even paid classes probably couldn’t get right. He has so many videos on different markets and how to read them just apply them to the type of trader you are. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcjyImdSWDTCGCa7G24faIQ
Routine ( final topic on this post) So every week I try to keep a basic routine of forex and ways to practice. I try to wake up early as I’m on the Pacific Coast so I get up 2 hours early before I have to head to work. 20-30 mins of this time I do something related to forex education. The rest of the time I gather my foundation for the week and arrange goals / meditate/ journal. I’ll look at the charts, when I still had Babypips to finish I’d set a time and study through what I could of the course through that time. Now that I’m finished I’ll either check this sub, watch a video/podcast or try to read something related fundamentally to trading or finance. (I’d like to get some more book ideas about trading and it’s psychology) So that’s one habit. You’ve got to be able to at least schedule 20-45 minutes a day to consistent study + practice time to acquire new skills. 20 minutes uninterrupted is enough. Wake up early if you have to. Then throughout the day you’ll find time to reflect or research more and soon the time will start to add up. This also works on the other extreme too. If you have alot of free time I’d say starting out 1 hour to 2 hours max is what you should dedicate to studying. Forex is a very mentally fatiguing process skill. You’ve got to let your brain recharge (need those MP potions it seems) the whole currency system is heavy and complex enough that starting from scratch you couldn’t learn everything in 24 hours straight. I’d say even a week straight wouldn’t work. It takes time and a habitual familiarity. It’s not dissimilar to learning a language. Where concepts become stacked on a foundation of understanding to be acted upon through your day to day. Even if you can name all the working parts, experience build with how much time you think in that language per day. There’s a reason I chose the word “Immersion” for my second topic. Moving along. Another part of my routine is backtesting 40-50 trades a week of my strongest system. This equates to a little under 10 trades a day. I completely journal and track profits like they were live. Some suggest using a simulator, while that is a great practice for timing entries, I’ve found just using the Metatrader 4 Desktop and using the F12 key to progress forward one tick at a time has been sufficient for my backtesting needs. Backtesting gives you an opportunity to practice way more trades in a week than live session will be able to provide. I’m using M15 - H1 intraday strategies and maybe pull off 5-6 trades a week. BUT I practice 10x that amount per week. Soon you’ll find your live performance is really only a display of how your last week backtesting went. It’s like football practice for the gameday. Now which system I test varies, like I said I’ll try my strongest, but that changes. Just grab any system you think you can pull off and backtest it. Babypips gave me my first few, then I created some ridiculous ones, but over time your experience of a system and how to get them to work for you grows by running test trades. Systems I’ve found and backtested that are online are: the “So Easy It’s Ridiculous” system and the Cowabunga System, both found on babypips and a simple google search. Easy. I know, and really a system is just supposed to make having trading decisions easier for you. But your participation and exit are equally important. Can you follow easy rules you or others make? No questions asked?
So that concludes my post. I hope in the future when I’ve backtested 1,000 trades I can post some of my personal systems I’ve followed, right now they feel to amateur to even share. I am the humble fool, so any ideas on my style or feedback on where I should head are greatly appreciated. I’m open to questions and dialogue so feel free to send a PM or comment. Hearing from other traders is the reason I even started this account to post and interact. This post and future ones I have planned are kind of a new element I wanted to try of journaling that allows me some social accountability and feedback from a community rather than all my entries being hoarded in my notebooks, so my apologies if it’s more wordy than usual on here. Thanks everyone and have fun!

The only arguments against tying POT to Pot, summarily answered

This was a reply to an old post I made last night. I want everyone to see it. I'm obviously replying to the quoted parts.

tl;dr at bottom.
Look at the chart.
I had to comment on this post because it seems like no one in the 'crypto' world actually recognizes the amount of money (FIAT) that goes into creating a business of a grow/co-op.
While I can appreciate your need to speak for "everyone" you do not speak for me. I have and currently do represent a number of Arizona dispensaries in the much needed, reputation management area. I know PRECISELY what goes into a dispensary and grow operation as far as initial capital, fees, build-out, final inspections, advertising, investing in the grow or coop. And then monthly maintenance, building costs, labor, etc, etc. It's a business, we get it. Further, one of my better clients... I know how much he makes per year after costs. And as a non-profit, it has to be given away. If you can give it away and create an economy at the same time...?
And we didn't tell you to
  1. convert solely to cryptocurrency
  2. hold a high stake at any given time in any particular crypto.
Everyone is in a disillusioned world of crypto that doesn't even exist yet.
Once again... speaking for everyone, thanks. YOU are the one that exists in a world where crypto doesn't exist. We are in a different world. Most of us had smartphones while everyone was sporting RAZRs. We had a web presence before many fortune 500 companies. We... are your future. You want national adoption... adopt us first.
WE, are trying to tell you, accept the future, or become the next Blockbuster.
I am going to list some of my expenses that I can't pay for with POTcoin:
Yay
  • Electricity
Solar. There are, good, electronics stores that take BTC for solar. Cause ya'know, hippies. Don't say it can't be done. It's past-tense.
  • Internet * Phone
I really don't have time to list why this is not worth listing.
  • Rent
Everyone in the United States pays rent or mortgage.
  • Insurance
Right, here is an industry that needs crypto too.
  • Payroll
Have you asked? Have you said, hey... wanna get paid in this untraceable currency? You know, the one you don't have to report getting?
  • Taxes
See, previous. Maybe you haven't heard? FedSEC says, Crypto no bueno currency, Crypto = Property. Dispensaries here are non-profit. Donate your property (Pot), we donate our property (POT) and no income is triggered, because POT is based on Pot. Parity trade. NO taxes!
  • Advertising (ads, business cards, flyers)
Dude... if you ACCEPT crypto... you won't spend another dollar on advertising for at least a year. I promise. Everyone HERE promises. Not another dime on advertising. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
  • Office Supplies (pens and paper to computers and printers/ink to office chairs and furniture)
I'll just pretend you didn't list this. If you're hurting so bad for these items, you either need to have a talk with that staff of yours, change habits, or change systems. If it is a matter of state requirements. Don't list it.
  • Maintenance & Cleaning (from paying people to clean to the supplies they use)
So, you can't find some undocumenteds that want bueno crypto? Really? Tell them, UNTRACEABLE... CAN SEND ACROSS ANY BORDER AT 1% OR LESS!
  • Fertilizers and growing supplies
See solar. Hippies. Many accept BTC.
  • Legal Fees
Find a lawyer that takes crypto, they exist.
How do you expect me to forget the fiat game?
Don't want you to. We want you to accept it on par with fiat. That's the idea. YOU are creating the economy.
Even if I only accepted POTcoin,
Surely don't want you to do that. Plus if you are a legit place you have AARP customers that probably aren't privy to crypto. They will cover the rent.
I'd have to exchange to FIAT to pay my bills because AT&T is never going to take PotCoin as payment...
That's actually a direction I am moving toward... servicing customers like you that have crypto and want to interact with the non-crypto world. You add me to your utilities and bills, and I am like the online bill pay for altcoin.
But see, it has to start somewhere!
In 1993 I was begging people to buy domain names. "What the hell do I need that for?" Indeed. I cashed out most of my single noun and single verb domains in the late 90's before the dot com collapse and didn't work for a few years after that from the sales. Coasted right thru the crash.
and the only way to not get screwed by any crazy jumps in the market are to do it instantly at the point of transaction for every purchase... even waiting a day could lose me 20% on days like today.
Once again, that's where my company will fill a need. I'm actually very well trained in high speed trading and forex coding in MT4. This, is rather simple, comparatively.
I will guarantee no-slip membership levels. That means, LOCKED IN TRADES. We take the hit if we make a bad trade, in getting your fiat back.
Please I would love to hear any real options and this isn't an attack on the posters or people in this community, just a very real down to earth and inquisitive request.
Please... take a chance...
THEN... be negative if it doesn't work. Or be a hero, WHEN it does.
The price of your coin went from 1POT = $0.01USD to 1POT = $0.0055USD <~ pretty much a 50% drop in price in the past 3 days. HOW ARE YOU NOT ALL UPSET BY THIS! Even as the price per BTC of POTcoin goes up, you are losing value because you are tied to BTC.

tl;dr
We want to untie from BTC and tie to Weed. I ideally, would like to see a range of:
0.125 - 0.420 for 1/8th of Medical Grade bottom shelf California state average
California chosen due to per capita and population.
In fact, here's a nice plot.
http://i.imgur.com/aKxK7yo.jpg
Does that grab your attention? Do you understand how to pay your bills now?
You have to realize, with FedSECs ruling... this is a LEGIT thing. You can literally create value out of nothing. NO ONE HERE WILL COMPLAIN IF YOU FIX THE PRICE OF POT TO POT. Promise. Cross my Heart.
And the biggest thing is... if you can buy an 1/8th of weed for 0.420POT...
it is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for the coin to collapse... ever.
Think about it. But it needs to be mutual agreement, almost cartel like, no undercutting, etc. It's for the benefit of everyone. I even promise not to shop at a place that is undercutting if you fix POT to Pot.
If you fix that price of POT to anything more than a decimal point over in value vs USD... you make A LOT of POTcoin holders wealthy. And the first place they will come to spend their money is on real pot. And depending on how wealthy... maybe AT YOUR PLACE. Because I need a vaca.

Brokerages:
There are many factors to consider when choosing a brokerage. Regulations typically force US traders to only trade at US brokerages, while international traders have more choice. After considering location you need to consider how much capital you will start trading with as many have minimum deposit levels. Once you’ve narrowed that down you can compared spreads and execution. ECN brokers execute your orders straight through to their liquidity providers, while market maker brokers may pair up your trades with other clients. Market maker brokers typically will partially hedge your positions on the interbank market. Many consider this to be a conflict of interest and prefer to trade at an ECN broker who would have an active motive to see you succeed. Lastly, brokers run inherently risky business models so it is important to consider the risk of bankruptcy.

FAQ:
I need to exchange money, how do I do it?
This isn’t what this sub is for. Your best bet is using your bank or an online exchange service. Be prepared to pay a hefty fee.
I have money in one currency and need to exchange it into another sometime in the future, should I wait?
Don’t ask us this. We speculate intraday in FX and shouldn’t be relied on to tell you what’s best for you. Exchange the money when you need it.
I have an FX account, should I start trading demo or live?
This is highly debatable. You should definitely demo trade until you have mastered how to use the trading platform on desktop and mobile. After that it’s up to you. Many think that the psychology of trading live vs demo trading is massively different. So it may pay to learn to trade live. Just be warned that most FX traders lose almost their entire first account so start with a low affordable balance.
What’s money management?
Money management is a form of risk management and is arguably the most important aspect of your trading when it comes to long term survival. You should always enter trades with a stop loss - the distance of the stop allows you to calculate how large of a percent of your account balance will be lost if your trade stops out. You can run a monte carlo simulation to figure out the risk of having a number of trades go against you in a row to drain your account. The general rule is that you should only risk losing 1-4% of your account per trade entered.
More on this here: www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/06/fxmoneymgmt.asp[35]
www.swing-trade-stocks.com/money-management.html[36]
What about automated trading?
Retail FX traders have been known to program “Expert Advisors” (EAs) to automate trading. It’s generally advisable to stay away from that until you’re very experienced. Never buy an EA from a developer because the vast majority of them are scams.
What indicators are best?
That’s up to you to test and find out. Many in this forum dislike oscillating indicators since they fail to capture the essence of what moves price. With experience you will discover what works best for you. In my experience indicators that are most popular with professional traders are those that provide trading “levels” such as pivot points, fibonacci, moving averages, trendlines, etc.
What timeframe should I trade?
Price action can vary in different timeframes. In longer term timeframes the price action and fundamentals are much more clear. Unfortunately it would take a very long time to figure out whether or not what you’re doing is successful on longer timeframes. In shorter timeframes you can often tell very quickly if what you’re doing is profitable. Unfortunately there’s a lot more “noise” on these levels which can prove deceptive for those trying to learn. Therefore the best bet is to use a multi-timeframe analysis, working from top-down to come up with trades.
Should I trade using fundamental analysis (FA) of technical analysis (TA)?
This is a long standing argument in these forums and elsewhere. I’ll settle it here - you should have an understanding of both. Yes there are traders who blindly ignore one of the other but a truly well rounded trader should understand and implement both into the analysis. The market is driven in the longer term through FA. But TA is necessary to give traders a place to enter and exit trades from a psychological risk/reward standpoint.
I’ve heard trading Binary Options is an easy way to make money?
The general advice is to stay away from binaries. The structure of binary options is so that when you lose the broker wins. This incentive has created a very scammy industry where there are few legitimate binary options brokers. In addition in order to be profitable in binaries you have to win 55-65% of the time. That’s a much higher premium over spot FX.
Am I actually exchanging currencies?
Yes and no. Your broker handles spot FX is currency pairs. Although they make an exchange at the settlement date they treat your position in your account as a virtual currency pair. Think of it like a contract where you can only buy or sell it as a pair. In this sense you are always long one currency while short another. You are merely speculating that one currency will appreciate or depreciate vs another.
Why didn't my order fill?
Even if price appears to cross over a line on your chart it does not guarantee a fill. Different charting platforms chart different prices - some chart the bid price, some the ask price and some the midpoint price. To fill a limit order price needs to cross your limit's price plus the spread at the time that it is crossing. If it does not equal or exceed the spread then it will not fill. Be wary that in general spreads are not fixed. So what may fill at one time may not at another.

XE TRADER Sept.2015 REVIEW | A Scam Review? | Under The Bonnet Investigation

I personally don’t have time or money to waste on anything that smells like a scammy product or service. That’s why in early September when this product first flashed across my screen, I was compelled to investigate. “What the……. is this?” was my initial response. This might sound harsh, however, if you, the consumer are looking for shortcuts to earn and learn how to get rich overnight using Binary Option Trading as your vehicle, you really need to ask yourself the hard questions before incinerating money on products that promise quick riches. Now, fast forward to today, my comments are still emphatic, however once you read this article and review my findings you will be surprised. Throughout this article we will identifying and asking the hard questions one should ponder before purchasing any type of Auto or Semi-Auto-Trader based software. Please read and pay special attention to this article, by the end you will be educated enough to decide whether or not this product is worth investing your time and money in.

WARNING: If you are a new or an existing Binary Options trader, you must be well aware that 90% of people trading Binary Options lose their money. To avoid black holes one should train their minds to acquire a tool set that will not only assist you identifying daily trades, but also provides you the the ability to read the markets, simplifying trend analysis and most importantly educating oneself to trade effectively. Don’t fall into the trap of receiving signals and resorting to blind trading, i.e. roll the dice, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Q1. In a competitive market, what is the purpose and point of difference with XE Trader? Answer: As a trader you have a collection of tools you use to trade, to illustrate you may have a set of tools, i.e. a knife, screw driver, pick, metal file, corkscrew etc. XE Trader is packed with many all in one features similar to that of a Swiss Army Knife, features that will enhance your trading experience. XE Trader is delivered to you as a platform not an application with its versatility you can install third party applications within this platform. September 2015, the claim has been made that “XE Trader is the world's most advanced currency pair trend indicator and signals robot designed specifically for binary options trading”. How so? “XE Trader is packed with feature rich enhancements that improve your trading experience”. The main purpose behind XE Trader is to serve as an aid in assisting traders with their understanding of trades, where the information comes from, so they can spot opportunities on their own as they arise within the markets.

Q2. Who’s behind this product, what’s their history? are they known criminals/scammers? Answer: XE Trader is brought to you by the world's largest privately owned binary options trader education company Options XE. Education in the form of Trading Webinars is a core part of Option XE's business. Following 3 years of development EX Trader is now the successor of the worlds first binary options robot Optionbot 2, their first creation. Over the years many trading bots have been released into the market, within weeks/months they crash and burn, never to be seen again. Optionbot 2 on the other hand has been and still in circulation, very popular and profitable since day one. This in itself attributes to the success of OptionXE’s first live OptionBot. “In short the XE Trader platform is more than a trading tool, it’s an all encompassing service which will help you win more trades and learn how to become a more effective trader”. The brains and brawn behind OptionBot2 and XE Trader include.

WARNING Advice:

1. Always remember when testing out any new trading ventures, manual or automatic, make sure you have a money management plan, once you have a strategy in place stick with it.

2. A FREE trading DEMO account is a great way to test out new strategies so you don’t go bust in the process.
3. Not all brokers are made equal when it comes to great customer service, being able to withdraw funds, having a user friendly, easy to use trading platform to work with. I have traded with a countless number of brokers, some I have had nightmare experiences. I prefer to trade only using industry regulated brokers tick all the boxes, as above ( I have listed these below). If
you are not sure, try out one of the brokers listed below, do a background check as required, they will provide you with a demo account on request.
